Jerald L. Hoover Productions was organized in 2001. The purpose of the company is to create an arena where Jerald Hoover would be able to facilitate forums for young people such as: mentoring, teaching, lecturing and writing workshops. Thus far, the company has been able to penetrate a litany of schools, churches, community centers and corporations throughout the country. The organization was designed to meet the perpetual need to, "Enlighten, Educate, Empower, Encourage, and Entertain" young people that are "considered" at risk. Jerald L Hoover Productions prides itself on instructing young people through positive reading reinforcement and self fulfillment. All the while, providing a message that reading is not only just fundamental but also essential to everyday life. We consider the consumption of drugs and alcohol and the scourge of illiteracy to be an unfortunate part of daily life. All of which contributes to the low self-esteem of our young people; considering it seems to seek to seek and destroy our communities as we know them. Jerald Hoover has written books that can relate to the everyday burden of "pressure coping" through drug and alcohol abuse. All of which can engulf the minds of our young people. "The Hero Series" which is written without profanity or illicit connotations in no way takes the place of drug or alcohol counseling; but they do provide insights to why you should avoid them at all cost. It is our hope that the messages permeating from "The Hero Series" will be one that stimulates young people at large to do the right thing. Since we at Jerald L. Hoover Productions live by the credo "Each One Reach One; Each One Teach One", we realize that literacy, particularly though provoking with a positive twist, can be a catalyst towards accomplishing that goal. It is our desire that you will enjoy reading "The Hero Series" which are: My Friend My Hero, He Was My Hero Too, A Fallen Hero and Hoop Hero; just as much as Jerald Hoover enjoyed writing them. The Hero Series is a saga of books that focuses towards the ages 12 years of age and above. Because of its engaging story line, we have found that not only young readers enjoy the books, but older readers (parents and teachers) appreciate them as well. With the uniquely designed essay questions and topics of discussion posed at the end of each book, parents and teachers have been able to develop mechanisms for generating curriculums for book reports, symposiums and insightful dialog. |
